New Canaan commuters have two choices when commuting to New York City, both on the New Haven line of Metro North. Both stations require the possible to transfer at Stamford Train station for travel to GCT.
 
The New Canaan station is located at 118 Elm Street. There is no staffed ticket office at this location, but there are two ticket machines located in the middle of the platform west of the station building. The station is fully ADA-accessible. Parking is offered through the Town of New Canaan. Daily rates are available but there is a long waiting list for permits. Call 203-594-3040 for more information.
 
The Talmadge Hill station is located at 1 Talmadge Hill Road. There is no staffed ticket office and no machines at this location. The Town of New Canaan operates the parking lot. Daily parking is available and there is no wait for a permit. call 203-594-3040 for more information.
 
By Car
 
There are multiple routes to NYC from New Canaan. Most commonly, take the CT-15 to the CT-95 into Manhattan, or take CT-15 to the Hutchinson River Parkway and onto the Westside Highway. For more information, consult your GPS.
